There are many ways you can enhance your enjoyment of life and improve your health, growing herbs and edible foods is an easy way to maintain your body's / families health. Even if you have limited or no garden space, there are numerous ways for you to grow even a few herbs, for instance in an old 1/2 cut barrel box, foam box, or in the traditional pot. Part from the edible benefits, growing your own herbs will definately put a smile on your face, whether admiring the flowers blooming, smelling the sweet scent or grazing on the leaves as a quick nutricious snack.

CULINARY SUGGESTIONS WITH HERBS:ALEHOOF: Young leaves in salads, soups, savoury dishes, stuffing’s, egg dishes, steamed like spinach. Minerals: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iodine, iron.
BERGAMOT: Young leaves chopped sparingly in salads, flowers to garnish with.
BORAGE: Flowers and leaves in salads, soups. Flowers are great for decorating desserts with. Vitamin ABC Minerals: calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, silica.
BRAHMI: eat fresh constantly, in salads and /or sandwiches.
CATNIP: Sparingly in salads, season meats. Vitamin A,B.C Minerals: Calcium, chromium, iron, phosphorus, selenium, sodium, zinc, potassium, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, sulphur.
CHICKWEED: Whole aerial plant, leaves, stems, flowers, one-two cups a day in salads. Vitamins: A.B.C Minerals: chromium, molybdenum, sodium, selenium, silicon, magnesium, potassium, iron, sulphur, silica, manganese, zinc, cobalt, phosphorus, copper.
CNIDIUM: Seeds flavours meats, savoury dishes, ferry leaves garnish.
DANDELION: Young leaves in salads, steamed or and added to Asian meals, (stir fries etc). Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E Minerals: Rich in calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, selenium, silicon, zinc, boron.

LEMON BALM: leaves and flowers to flavour meat, savoury, sweet dishes, soups and salads. Vitamin ABC.

PARSLEY: salads, garnish, sauces, stuffing’s, just about everything.
