KNOW & EMBRACE THE VARIOUS ASPECTS YOU ARE:

Observing, witnessing and acknowledging various aspects within you, can help you to ignite and recognize your abilities and potentialities.

We do experience  the benefits of developing and contributing to our family / work environment, eating and exercising to maintain our physical health.

Yet are we willing to invest in our overall health, our mental, emotional and spiritual aspects, which do influence every part of our lives?  Outlined below are brief descriptions of the various systems / aspects within us.

It is in your best interests to become aware of how your conscious and subconscious minds work together, to learn the functions and roles of each.  This in turn will assist you to utilize more of your abilities.

SUBCONSCIOUS:
The subconscious is very powerful, it keeps our lungs breathing. The subconscious sustains your life without any conscious effort, whether you are awake or asleep the blood is still flowing through your veins, pumping your heart, restoring your health, healing your cuts and bruise, hair growth, sensory abilities, etc. The subconscious is a storehouse of information and functions.

The subconscious accepts everything that has been impressed upon by the conscious mind unconditionally, it does not discriminate between positive or negative, what is real or imagined, does not judge or censor. The subconscious can either be your controller or your servant. It is like a computers memory, it holds all forms of information indiscriminately. The subconscious attracts to you conditions, circumstances and situations according to the predominate beliefs and thoughts you occupy your conscious mind with.

The subconscious is meant to support you to experience what you want. It is meant to confirm to us we are the creator of our lives, we can actively live the life we want, by uniting our subconscious and conscious minds. As the saying goes, “what we reap is what we sow.” Our subconscious has been collecting information throughout our lives, there will be an assortment of beliefs, experiences we have suppressed and unconsciously placed within, that may be blocking, sabotaging and conflicting with beliefs or with the conscious thoughts we are focusing on. This will slow us down from reaching our goals. There are safe techniques and tools we can use to access our subconsciousness and bring up these certain patterns, beliefs, thoughts, into our consciousness, thus giving us the opportunity to view and judge whether to release or keep these beliefs and experiences. Thus paving the way for all information held within the subconscious to support us, our goals and to flow in unison with our conscious thoughts and emotions. There needs to be a deep respect when working with the subconscious, as once it is placed within it’s easy to consciously forget what it was we placed in there.

CONSCIOUS:
Our conscious mind is the guardian of our subconscious. The conscious mind has choices, is able to understand right from wrong, can censor and judge, can sense what is real or imagined and experience altered states of awareness. The conscious mind is powerful. Our feelings/emotions, physical body, our environment, our love can and does help our conscious mind to go in many directions and experience various possibilities. We can utilise observation, detachment and discernment to see what thoughts, self talk, chitter chatter helps us to anchor beliefs in our subconscious we want to experience. We have the ability to train our conscious mind. Focus upon the thoughts that support you, reflect upon how you are already experiencing situations you are happy with and by doing this you will be consciously programming your subconscious to give you more of what you are already enjoying.

Be gentle on yourself knowing your mind is attempting to keep you bound to your past thoughts /beliefs/ attitudes. Acknowledge the thoughts you dwell upon and repeat constantly, as they become your beliefs and go into your deep memory storehouse of the subconscious. Our mind is a creature of habit, we are responsible for the thoughts we think.

THE BRAIN:
The right and left hemispheres assimilate and perceive the interpretation of our world in different ways. Generally the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body and the right hemisphere controls the left side of the body. The right and left hemispheres are designed to work together to provide us with integrated, balanced perspectives of our life - a whole brain approach. By using both hemispheres of our brains in unison and acknowledging our feelings, we can gain an extra 50% of skills and empower ourselves, thus giving us an integrated balanced perspective of ourselves.

It is wise to recognise, accept and respect the different ways of thinking within yourself and you will reap the benefits.

LEFT BRAIN:
The left brain tends to think in logical and sequential steps, in symbols, is responsible for language, analyses information into details, is competitive and self centred. The left brain looks at the pattern and sees whether it is consistent with past experiences, memories and what is happening out in the material world. Hence the left brain builds up a belief system or truth that is consistent with what it experiences in the real world as it sees it, tenaciously, rigidly holds onto, controls the rules we live by.

THE RIGHT BRAIN:
The right brain tends to thinking in terms of interconnecting patterns and systems, it thinks in pictures, is directly involved in our unconscious dreaming and altered states of consciousness, (for example meditation), is holistic in its approach to understanding problems, trying to understand by seeing the overall pattern, is more environmentally conscious, less self centred, likes to cooperate than to compete. The function of the right side of the brain is to look at incoming information in order to create a meaningful pattern and interconnections, it then presents this to the left side of the brain for scrutiny.

BRAIN WAVES:
We are in BETA brain waves, (12-15hertz cycles per second), with our daily "doing" activities, such as thinking, communicating, reading, writing and conducting sporting events.

When in ALPHA brain waves, (8-12hertz cycles per second), we are relaxed, (for example when in a meditative space). This helps release stress, stimulates creativity, intuition, improves immunity, concentration, perceptions and as we are in our natural breathing cycle revitalises our physical body.

THETA (4-8 hertz cycles per second) is the initial sleep state. Even though we may seem very sleepy and slow with our functions this brain wave can assist us in many ways. It helps us to access the sub conscious, stimulates creativity, expands our perceptions, improves focus and assists us to absorb information.

DELTA brain waves (0.5-4 hertz cycles per second) is the unconscious state of deep sleep. The brain rests completely, yet we are able to contact the sub and super consciousness and connect with our spirit, soul.

BREATHING:
We all know how important breathing is, for if we do not breath our physical body will not be able to live. Even though breathing is a subconscious act, we consciously alter our breathing cycles in different scenarios. When we feel threatened or are anxious our breathing can be fast and shallow. When we are relaxed and happy we may breath deeply slowly. The amount of oxygen we nourish our bodies with helps us to maintain our health, our organs, our well being. Thus it is important we become aware of our breathing cycles and understand what is our own unique breathing rhythm. By focusing on deep breathing (filling our lungs) when we are anxious or feel threatened, etc we can help ourselves to calm our emotions, centre our thoughts, come to clearer conclusions and act in ways that best suits our needs.

FEELINGS - EMOTIONS:
Emotional awareness is knowing and being able to label our feelings with specific feeling words, ie joy, sadness. We need to acknowledge our feelings, as it helps us to consciously become aware of situations that do or do not support our needs, our directions, our goals. For our inner guidance system to function properly we must acknowledge our feelings. The more specific we are in identifying our feelings, the more accurate we can be in identifying our unmet emotional needs and taking appropriate beneficial supporting action. Doing this unites our thinking and emotional system to work together and create solutions, helping us to feel and know we are in control of our lives, our situations and to feel more empowered within ourselves. Accepting our feelings takes less energy than trying to deny or suppress, and helps to shift our energy to productive thoughts and actions. The sooner we can accurately identify the feeling and reflect upon it, the sooner we can take actions which are in our best interests. Our soul, spirit, eternal source of love and intelligence will filter through our emotions - feeling systems first, before our mind - thinking systems become involved.

CHAKRAS AND ENERGETIC SYSTEMS WITHIN:
Everything in the universe is a living essence of energy, it should be of no surprise that we contain an electromagnetic energy system, a vital life force of energies. These electromagnetic energies are a subtle system helping us to feel, sense and develop our innate connection to all living energies. We are quite capable of receiving universal, cosmic energies to assist us in our evolutionary path. The chakras are our core centres, the intermediators between our spiritual self, (higher vibrational energy) and our physical body, (denser vibrating energy). The chakra system is multi dimensional, interacting and influencing all aspects of our being, whether it be on a cellular level, through our consciousness or in holistic universal way. The twelve major chakras can help to guide us and understand our personal life cycles, as each one reflects certain characteristics, health, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects.

PHYSICAL BODY:
Our physical body is a great way for us to easily understand how complex and intricate we are. Throughout our years of living, we experience how we are made up of several systems, the nervous, circulatory, endocrine, with various organs, muscles, tissues, functioning separately yet collectively as a whole. Our physical body supports us in achieving our daily routines and long range goals. Our physical body is a magnificent living organism. We can expand upon our physical experiences and awareness of our physical body by exploring how our cells change and grow, as we explore our potential even more with our conscious and sub conscious minds in unity.

The greatest service/gift we can give to ourselves is to  know ourselves intimately and how various functions within ourselves supports each other.  Our soul, spirit communicates through our energy centres, subtle bodies, etheric, chakras, nervous system, feelings, physical body, mental and brain and circulatory systems.

To create effective changes in your life, you need to address the cause, more than the affects.  To seek the true cause of your dis ease, inner conflict, it may require you to look into areas of yourself, you have not thought of yet.  Trying something new has always been a part of our lives, since learning to walk and hopefully always will be.

You may wish to ponder before you seek assistance from any source of therapies, to be aware of your own self and how various systems within you may need to be balanced and supported. This will empower you to know and find the therapeutic services that best serves your needs. Seek as much assistance as you can and explore various therapeutic services.   Several forms of assistance that are in unison far out weighs a singular support structure.
